We are looking for volunteers to support the main event on Saturday, as well as the events leading up to the festival. This includes assisting in film screenings on Wednesday and Thursday and workshops and tours at the Moss Landing Marine Laboratories on Friday.

On the day of the festival, volunteers will be needed to set up the festival early Saturday morning, greet festival-goers at the Welcome Tables, sell merchandise, distribute popcorn, help with cooking demonstrations, assist families with arts and crafts activities, talk about seaweeds at touch tanks, and clean-up/pack-out Saturday evening, among other tasks.


Volunteers working 4 hours or more will receive a (priceless!) volunteer T-shirt and an invitation to the Seaweed Speakeasy, an event reserved for the people who make the festival happen! Volunteering with the California Seaweed Festival is an excellent opportunity to interact and network with individuals within the field of marine sciences, aquaculture, conservation, government and non-government agencies, and innovative private industries.
