9am - 1pm: Cal Poly Humboldt is excited to announce a Kelp Hatchery/Nursery Workshop at the Telonicher Marine Laboratory. The dramatic cliffs of Trinidad are home base for the seaweed researchers and the first seaweed farm to go into the water in Humboldt Bay. On Sunday, Cal Poly Humboldt’s Marine Lab will host a Kelp Hatchery Workshop. This hands-on learning experience will guide participants through the essential steps of seaweed cultivation, including making spools, sporulation, inoculation, and incubation.
