Poster Art Contest

Call to all visual Artists - we are looking for your entries in our 2025 Commemorative Poster Art Contest!

The 6th Annual California Seaweed Festival will be October 10-11 in Los Angeles. The theme is "Urban Ocean Ecosystems".

Contribute your vision of seaweed in Southern California's urban environments for this year's poster. The contest winner will get $500, have their artwork featured on the 2025 poster and t-shirt. Submit a concept or image through this Google Form by June 21, 2025 11:59 PM PT . The winner will be chosen by the end of June.

The California Seaweed Festival arose from decades of studying seaweeds, admiring their beauty and learning myriad ways that seaweeds make life better. We want to share the beauty and diversity of seaweeds on our coasts.
